Club 4play tested by BB

Well, I'm not really sure what to make of this place...

I was at this underground pizzeria-turned-atomic bunker named 4play lounge night club two weeks ago and I'm still at a loss about how exactly I could share the experience I had there with you.

First of all, as far as I'm concerned, 4play is not what anyone in their right mind would call a night club. This place misses the mark in terms of both venue and staff so badly that it fails to live up to the minimal expectations I have of a club. I'd much rather call it a pub, but Budapest has so many pubs that are more beautiful and cozy than this that I'm totally clueless about what label would fit this place. Imagine a poorly furnished pizzeria in a cellar in which nothing has changed except for maybe a couple of tired dancers hanging around in the room. The biggest problem in my opinion is the total lack of focus. For a long time no-one from the staff would come up to me to ask me what I was going to have, the girls seemed similarly uninterested, giving me unfriendly and phlegmatic looks and when I tried chatting one of them up, she flat out insisted that she wanted to give me a private dance right away. I don't care for being treated like this. Eventually I managed to talk some with another girl, unfriendly as she was too, but I managed to find out that mostly it's groups of Englishmen who visit 4play, who unlike me couldn't care less about quality or design, but want cheap prices and nothing more. Since beer here costs less than in the other clubs and only a fragment of what it costs in London, 4play does enjoy some popularity among these men. She also told me that she and a few of her colleagues were thinking about quitting, because due to the lower classes being attracted to such lower prices, the girls struggle to make any money at all. Sometimes the girls go home without having earned anything for 4 days in a row, which is no wonder as the poor tourists who come here are constantly worried about prices and never want to pay for anything.

Well, it's not like I want to talk anybody out of going to 4play as it's not at all risky to visit the place. The bill was totally correct at the end of the evening and they didn't try to rip me off. But if you've got better things to do than experiment with underfinanced and shabby places, then my advice to you is to pass this one and go for a proper high quality night club, one that maybe contains beautiful girls for example.

Because here there weren't any at all.
